Saints Never Die: The Eternal Hope in Christ

In the heart of the city, amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, the concept of eternal life can feel distant. But for Christians, eternal life is a central promise that fuels our hope and shapes our lives. This profound belief is not just about life after death but about a transformation that begins here and now, reshaping our perspective on everything around us. The theme "Saints Never Die" captures this essence beautifully, reminding us that in Christ, our lives have eternal significance.

We need an eternal perspective, in 2 Corinthians 4:18 it says, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  It's easy to get caught up in the seen—the concrete realities of work, survival, and the fast-paced grind. However, this verse urges us to look beyond, to focus on the unseen and the eternal. This shift in perspective is crucial. It reminds us that the struggles of today are temporary, and there is a greater, everlasting reality that awaits us.

Our true citizenship in heaven. This heavenly identity shapes how we live on earth. We are called to live as ambassadors of an eternal kingdom, reflecting its values and spreading its hope. This eternal perspective changes how we view success, suffering, and everything in between. It anchors us in a hope that is steadfast and sure, no matter what comes our way.

Job 14:14-16 reflects a longing for renewal: "If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come." This echoes the Christian belief in the resurrection. Our hope in eternal life is not just spiritual but also physical. Philippians 3:20-21 reinforces this, promising that our "citizenship is in heaven," and that Christ "will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body." This transformation signifies the ultimate victory over death and decay, assuring us that saints never truly die but are given new, glorious life.

This eternal perspective transforms our lives, reminding us that in Christ, saints truly never die but live forever in His glorious presence.
